If you had asked me a year and a half ago if I liked anime, my answer would've been that I was indifferent about it. Growing up I watched Sailor Moon, Dragonball Z, Knights of the Zodiac, Pokemon and Yugioh but never continued after I grew up. Maybe it was because I was doing other things or watching other shows or simply there was no one to guide me to the realm of anime. Luckily, my best friend Alfonso is one of the biggest anime nerds I know and I finally caved in. You know that feeling of trying new things but you're unsure if you'll like it or not? That's how I felt. The first anime he introduced me to was Death Note. After that, I've never looked back and I've tried to emerge myself with as much anime as I can whenever I find the time. This year, along with his cousin/my friend Aaron, we went to ANIME EXPO. It felt extremely weird to go to a con and not work it because I feel like that's all I've been doing for the past few years. We did two scavenger hunts, a Sailor Moon and a Your Lie In April (anime I haven't seen yet). We went to one panel which was the "Welcoming Celebration" (or something along those lines. They didn't start on time and they were definitely disorganized which I was bummed about. Because it ran late, we missed the other panel we wanted to go to on the anime "Erased". *cries anime tears* It was an interesting first experience but I definitely had fun.

Side note, the gender-bend Ryuk cosplay from Death Note was definitely my fave. Then it was Cloud from Final Fantasy and then the Yandere Simulator School Girl. View bigger photos here.

My long time friend Ryan and I went to Mission Trails to explore the Old Mission Dam. Just like our other adventures, we can't go without capturing how awesome nature is. This time I had the hardest time walking more than a mile because of the longest weekend of my life (jk it's actually comic con) since I was working the past three days and was on my feet all day. The burn was definitely felt. While I was complaining because of sore legs and a bad knee, we finally got to the dam. Of all the years I've lived in San Diego, I didn't know it existed so it was rad to check out something historic. Go out and explore today!

I've been MIA the past few months on here because of work and other crazy random things. Now that I'm back, I thought I'd start off with a quick blog about my hair transformation. I've been wanting to dye my entire head one solid color since I started coloring my hair. Every time I thought I was brave enough, I would always make up and excuse. Whether it was because of maintenance or I couldn't find the perfect person to do it, I was never short of excuses. This year I finally decided that it was time for a change and the worst thing was that I wouldn't like it. If I didn't like it, I could just dye it back. If it fell off for some reason, it'll eventually grow back. It's just hair! My friend April has amazing purple hair and recommended me her hair stylist Tori from DK hair. We actually ended up doing a photo shoot (that I'll save for another blog) and she was the raddest chick. We instantly got along and I knew she was THE ONE *insert romantic music* haha. Long story short, she did an amazing job on my hair.
